October 4th - Happy Fall!

Proudly sponsored by Honest TeaRelay FoodsZipcar, and Think Local First DC, the DC MEET Market will be celebrating the beautiful season of fall on Saturday, October 4th! Our next market is filled with fall-time activities ranging from pumpkin painting, cornhole games and seasonal sweets from Baked & Wired. In addition, we are excited to be featuring Korean-style BBQ from Kingston Seoul and live music from DJ AYESCOLD, The Caribbean, and The Plums. As always, the market will showcase over 40 local vendors selling their goods from home décor, handcrafted jewelry, accessories, and prepared foods!

Our market happily accepts Think Local First's new LOCALIST Card! A $15 card gets you exclusive access to special experiences and events, deals and offers from vendors throughout the city. The DC MEETMarket is proud to be the first local outdoor market to accept the LOCALIST Card. To purchase your card, please visit http://thinklocalfirstdc.com/localist

To welcome autumn, the DC MEETMarket will have various activities to get everyone excited about the fall season! Small pumpkins will be provided to paint and take home to display. In addition to crafts, games of cornhole will be set up around the market for everyone to enjoy.

Baked & Wired: "Get baked" with the small-batched baked goods from Georgetown's top bakery. The award-winning bakery provides customers with fresh and delicious baked goods ranging from breakfast breads to quiches. Baked & Wired's bakers not only use family recipes to create their tasty treats, but they take creative liberties when developing new, exciting recipes. Baked & Wired will bring pumpkin-inspired desserts, including cupcakes and whoopie pies, to the October market.

Kingston Seoul: Co-owner of the D.C.-based art and consulting company, No Kings Collective, Peter Chang recently made his debut into the food industry. Chang and business partner, Chad Drummond perfected the art of cooking delicious and traditional Korean BBQ. Kingston Seoul uses a variety of seasonings and flavors to provide customers with top-notch cuisine.

DJ AYESCOLD: Having lived all over the US and in India, DJ AYESCOLD now calls DC her home. Inspired by her travels, she aims to take you somewhere else with her music, whether that is another decade or even another continent. Her thoughtful club mixes often include riddims, raw cuts, remixes, experimental and future beats, and international samples.

The Caribbean: Formed in 1999, The Caribbean is an experimental pop group hailing from DC. Their critically acclaimed eclectic sound integrates elements of American pop, indie rock, cool jazz, and even Brazilian music.

The Plums: The Plums are known as a noise/improv/experimental band. Don’t come with any expectations because this D.C. noise-rock band hardly ever plays the same thing twice. The Washington City Paper praises their unique and passionate sound.
